Thanks to help from active autowerke, CA can now reduce the retail cost on stage 1 and 2 superchargers, new prices are as follows :

STAGE 1 £7120
STAGE 2 £7900

The above is inc vat etc, and EvoT members get another £100 off the above.

GO ON ...YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE. :D

How much where they before then? Also why is the cost of a M3 one so much more than say a 330CI one?

HI !

they were £7250 and £8400 respectively previously.

The M3 kits cost more mainly due to having to supply an inlet plenum to mate up to the M3 s individual throttle bodies, the software issues and because companies always add a premium when it comes to parts for M cars :)

obviously I dont drive an M but im intrigued as to what is included for 7k. Is it a simple bolt on system running low boost pressures around 6psi or does the kit include low comp pistons etc to allow it to run a comfortable 12psi or so reliably and effieciently?

this is bolt on kit at mid level boost, 9 psi, and includes a host of parts from intercooler to injectors to oil tank etc, a true complete kit.

Hopefully we will be able to hold costs down for a while yet:)

Robin let me know when you neeed the parts you mention as we carry most in stock .......

Active claim 440 and 499 bhp respectively for the stage 1 and stage 2 conversions.

We have seen 410and 470 on dyno.

We also have the "CA stage 4" conversion which we have not yet had on dyno but are hoping forabout 520 bhp .

so if you have stage 4 and these are stage 1 and 2 , where is stage 3?

Stage 3 is active autowerkes own un official, non warantee conversion. The difference being that we have refined it even further ( I know this sounds conceited of us considering Active's expertise here, but CA has had help on this from our EXTREMELY talented swedish friends ).

Our kits are different to active in that :

1. we use a dedicated intake temp sensor plumbed into the intake plenum rather than the more "bodgy" idea of using the original MAF sensor , residing in the inlet tract, converted to give intake temp. reading to the ECU. Intake temp is always best measured from the plenum ( just like the CSL does for example) .

2. Our software is more refined and suited to europe spec cars and conditions.

As reported elsewhere, the car i srunning very well , better than expected, in all honesty.

However having learnt a thing or two by now on these conversions, I am testing it a little more and adding just a few more enhancements such as:

larger radiator
twin electric fans instead of viscous
gauges
vented bonnet
different suspension
dyno runs to see what is what :)

Once all that is done then we wil be having the much promised demo days at Brunty etc, along with videos etc

hey Nick

actually it s a bigger water rad we are trying out, and the suspension is a new custom coilover set by a south african racing manufacturer.

lets see what happens :)
