They take photos of your car now when they issue tickets (or they do in manchester). They could possibly use that. But if they cant [ok
aslong the warranty is still intact and no probs etc, then yep should be covered, but they'll try the usual "wear n tear" trick though ;)
ticket : could always phone them up and say.. "excuse me, but my no plate is .... and the ticket that was placed on my car was ..... can u change it? heheh :D just kidding mate.. is it printed or hand written? don't they write down the car details aswell as the no plate? [hmm

I think the lacquer peel is covered under the paint/corrosion warranty (10 years).
As for your ticket, I'm not sure as a 6 could look like a G in different fonts so the issuer may use this as an excuse. i think if this was a prosecution (e.g. speeding), it may have a different impact.
on a similar note, my wife just got sent a 80quid parking fine from Janaury (Saturday) when she went to Southall. 1) she could not find a ticket machine 2) she could not find any parking restriction notice 3) when she got back to her car, she didn't find any ticket on the windscreen. the council is saying that because she didn't pay within 2 weeks of getting the original ticket (which she didn't know), the fine has now doubled to 80. what can we do to resolve this without paying a single penny? sorry to jack your thread but that 80 quid can be spent elsewhere....
