After my recent post on retro fitting in SAT NAV into my E38 and finding out what it'll cost. i thought it would probably be better spending the money on an updated system

Can those of you who know about these things give me a few pointers as to whats out there? what i'd like is:

A - a screen thats fits into that E38 Dash (is it a double DIN?) preferbally not flip out type
B - has a good Satnav system. (GPS or CDs i don't mind)
C - Have the option to add TV or DVD players at a later date.

what types are out there that i can reserch into? im going to factor in a budget of about £500-800

i'd much rather have a system that looks OE than have all the bells and whistles on there.

ta very much :D

hello mate,

the alpine w200r1 screen is a pretty good one to go for however, the budget you have factored will only cover the screen itself. if you want satnav as well you will need a budget of £2200 inc install for it.

the screen is prepped to take a tv tuner and i would recommend you use the digital tuner from alpine.
