Central locking problem

Hi guys my ucle has a e46 4 dr on a w reg. He locked the car with the fob but when he came to open the car it would not open. He put the key in the door and opened the locks but only the driver side door opened, the rest of the car stayed locked. And you cant open the car from inside because of the dead locks. Any ideas why this happenned? The next day it seemed fine.:confused:

it happened to me couple of months back.

both my fobs wouldn't unlock it so i opened it with the key, the alarm went off and then i used the fob to disarm it :confused:

its never done it again though

Think it may have been a one off?

not had this happen to me, could have been a freak incident?
