Yup had my driver's side done for the same reason, then my passenger side cos it didn't match the new stuff lol. Tried the same with my new one right at the end of the warranty and they just went on and on and on delaying a decision so in the end I told them to ram it, but I reckon I could have got it done on this one too if I'd kept at them.

cos u notified them during the warranty period, it should be still covered

The same, got mine changed; I didn't have the brains to push to have the passenger seat replaced as well though. Don't make the same mistake I did... chase them before your warranty is up.

would this be covered on an extended warranty? How come they dont just say its wear and tear due to xs use or summin? My drivers bolster is slightly worn too so should i jus take it in?

That's the argument they'll try. The longer the extended warranty, the more they'll be able to justify it, but if it's under the 3 years then they can hardly say the leather has worn out due to use unless they can prove you've been rubbing up and down it for 10 minutes a day or something. :D

I would be very angry if they are saying that wear & tear is visible after 18,000 miles!!! BMW should dessign their cars and make sure that leathers and other bits are good of up to 100,000miles!

Only to Sabine's M5. ;)

Hi guys,

I have an extended warrenty, which runs out next sat.

My drivers side front red leather seat is well worn, due to being the most used seat

Also the grey plastic material on door arm rests has started to bubble as if it wasn't fitted properly or the heat has affected it

Are these issues covered on the warrenty? has anyone else experienced these prob which have been sorted on the warrenty?

The M's only done 35K.

If so think I might take a trip to BMW 2mrw.

Cheers
