Hi Guys,

Went a saw a couple of Noble's today, a M400 and a 3R,

So Sick!!!! I think I have made up my mind. Going to finish my car for HIN, and then I realy feel like change. Was going towards a CSL, but this has really taken me.

Nice mate, not sure i would go for that colour and wheel combo.

Always loved these Mondeo's, i dont know why Ford did not make more of them. [fight

I especially like the Metro rear lights.

You know i am only playing mate, you should post some of the specs on the thread and show the difference between the two cars.

Nobles and tvrs always look good and the accelaration is amazing

....just not sure I could live without my comforts, especially in everyday town driving.
Digs that would be pefect for you though, knowing you have lots of other motors to choose from :D

Performance wise, they are unbeatable. But somehow, the Noble looks so un-refined. Too raw if you know what I mean......

Compare this

Tin, that is a wicked idea.
I think durgs should get that German car with an M3 engine. (No, not a BMW)
It is like a german version of a TVR, i cannot rememebr what they are called.

I remember Clarkson reviwing the Noble and apart from the turning circle, he was was impressed and he made a point about the 'kkkkoooooswoosh' turbo noise [cool But I agree that it's very 'pure' and you may miss the luxry goodies you get on your current car:)

Remember Durgs, the reason you told me you would not buy a Jap car is because it did not have enough toys (we were talking about STi's and EVO's at the time)

Well, atleast they had electric windows.

Why not just buy a 600bhp Skyline for that money? You can also go over speed bumps in them ;)

A great looking car, wasn't it top gears performance car of the year around 2001-3 ? [read
something more exclusive yes,but will you be happy with that interior ?

if it's about performance and looks i don't think you can fault it, definately one for the list. :D

i dont know. Looks like a porsche knockoff from the front and chavvy from the back. Especially in that colour combo [hmm. Maybe if the rims werent blacked out.

I wouldnt get it though. If your spending that kind of money on a car you really want it to be refined. The CSL is still about 10g's ontop of an M3 and less of the sprinklings and probably as far as id go if i had the choice ;). The noble is definately raw though. Looking at the interior it looks like its truly ass --> car --> road. I think the balance between lack of accesories and raw power isnt right. Maybe if it was a second quiker then you could justify havign to lean over and adjust your side mirror ;) I cant see it being much fun on early cold mornings either :p.

how about one of these, if extreme performance/handling is required? very very quick of the mark!

Dig would have to buy a trailer if he got one of those....or start flattening speed bumps around North London :D

Are you mad, the thing does 0-60 in 3.7 already. Over a second quicker than the CSL.

A McLaren F1 does it in 3.2 !!!!!

That was the strip out noble anywayz, this in the Int of a 3R. A little better.

Ed, I don't want a 911, that is basically two shapes old.

CSL is still on the books, only problem is I don't see the point of looking at the same dash as I have done for the past 3 years. I guess I would rather look at no dash at all. LOL

if i want performance i'd rather ride my bike.
0-60mph in 3 secs.
still can zip past traffic even if it's well jammed. :D
just need my car to relax and cruising round town sometimes to balance it out.
maybe you should consider riding bike durgesh. [ok
performance is nice on that car, but that's about it.
unless you like to go on tracks at least once or twice a month.
it'll be plenty of fun on the track but not too sure on London roads.

I say sod the lot of them Digs. Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has got one. You ask 50 people what they think of the car, you get 50 responses.

A lot of people forget, you've got access to a stable of cars, so even if you didn't want to drive the noble for whatever reason, you can jump easily into something else, so it being a raw daily driver doesn't become an issue.

Also, a lot of people don't know, the interior can be customised, so you can add the luxuries you want at any time.

If you like it and it gives you a smile everytime you get in it and you know you're going to enjoy it, get it

Fas is right, if you like it, just do it ;) The first instinct is usually the correct one......I spent weeks looking at which car to replace my 330 with and eventually went back for the car that I've always wanted the day I bought my first E46

You've mentioned the Noble long before anything else if I remember, so go with your heart ;)

When you go for a test drive, make sure you give me a call :D :D

Go for the Noble dude, CSL is nothing handling and performance wise when compared to the Noble. I rented one of those last year for a trackday weekend and diddnt wanna give it back. (shame about the mondeo backlights :( )

Noble all the way [jam [jam [jam

D it would look pretty hot next to the M3's and what ever else rocks into Evotechnick for the next HIN event. At the end of the day if you have other rides then why not go for a racer...
In my mind the CSL isnt a racer but id still get one over the noble but id only have one car... WOW factor probably goes to the Noble though :o

Best of luck with your choice mate.

yea dude didnt know you have access to a 'stable of cars' :p. In that case it would make a nice addition ;). I was kind of looking at it from a stuck with one car point of view :p.

Go for the Noble Durgesh if you have a stable to choose from. Don't be put off by the Ford engine. It's been constantly updated and is pratically bullet proof. Parts are cheaper too. I read an article last year about living with a Noble (can't remeber which exact model) as your only car. It was hard but doable.....so no worries at all. Having that performance for that money is awesome.

Dont be put off by that engine as as Ant man is saying and dont forget they put two v6 mondeo engines in the aston martin v12 6 litre [cool reminds me of the RS200 from fords,my mate had one RS200 group B rally car 650 bhp ;) so i bet you could chip this baby a bit.

Durg, my colleague in the US uploaded some pics of a Noble M12 he took when he went out on a track day. Love the pic of the Noble when all the panels are opened up (v 'supercar-like')

http://www.justinliew.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=27

apparently, the Noble owner said the car is not equipped with any anti-roll bars. A bit surprised about this. how does it get so much grip/stability [hmm

Durgs,

Drove a mates M12 GTO today. Absolutely feckin' mental. Having driven a 355 and I believe you know what they're like, its as close to the true racing feeling as your gonna get on an everyday car.

Totally harsh on the ass, but you wouldn't expect any different. Handling and feedback through the wheels is just awesome, never felt anything like it before.

For the kind of cash that your talking about, and were talking hi-spec M3 cash here, there is simply nothing like it. Unless you fancy getting stone chips on your face in a Caterham.
