View Full Version : Test driving an M3 is not good for you

My friend was about to buy an engagement ring for his long time girlfriend, he was going to spend £3k on the ring.
I took my car to his house so he can take it for a test drive, as soon as he heard the noise he was hooked like a junkie on crack :D
The next day he was on the BMW website looking for an M3 convertible. 2 weeks later he found this baby and £13k later (including p/ex his 330cic) he had the car on his driveway.
The girlfriend is not happy with me now and dosen't want me calling the house. :mad:
So the moral of this story is, if you have serious commintment in hand, do not and i repeat do not take an M3 for a test drive.
His car is a beauty and the colour is quite nice. :eek:

Bloody hell!
That is one of the nicest stock M3's I've ever seen. I've never seen that combo before. Works REALLY well

Imola is a wikid colour.....Great choice!
i would kill for that car!. Im kinda biased towards red though ;). As fas as test driving an M3 goes im going to do it as soon as i can get my hands on a nicer car to drive to the dealership with and act like i can afford an M3 :D.

Never seen that Combo ever, hopefully he will be ok with keeping the inside clean.

Yeah the combo is very nice. The problem with Imola red is it needs to be clean to look good.
He was worried that it would be hard to sell when it comes to re-sell.

I would'nt worry too much about resale, that combo is pretty rare and not everyone wants silver or black. My PY was traded for a higher price than private and the dealer sold it a day later.

Yeah thats very very nice indeed. As everyone else has said, I love that colour combination, they both set each other off really nicely. It's a worthy contender to my estoril obsession. :P

Going back to the moral of the storyline - are you sure the girlfriend doesnt want you round because of the car or because they are never in anymore... [hmm
or maybe she doesnt have a 3g ring on her finger now :eek:?
