Really? I though detector were ok, but only the lsaer jammer thing was a no-no. Maybe Strathclyde Police force is gearing up for the change in weather.

its all still being discuused and white papered far as i heard ..but looks like gps units will essentially be outlawed .
far as we are concerned all this means is we will work on more stealthy ways to install and monitor the devices .

The laser jammers we sell though are advertised and packaged as garage door remote devices , so it will be very hard to prosecute if your car has on eof these fitted .The beauty is we do actually sell the laser sender switching unit that can be fitted to garage door or electric gate , and it WILL be activated and open the doors as your car approaches and jams the laser signal .

For the record my M3 has lasers front and rear , b2 , k band military spec jammer and our own anti flash plates .Buggered if I am removing those ...and the lasers are so stealth I challenge anyone that does no t know the car to see where they are installed .

good luck to us all on this one ...

yea but they cant figure out you have one unless you get pulled over right? Since it reduces the chances of being pulled over the law will be pretty pointless [hmm.

Roy, that's not true

GPS based systems will still be absolutely legal, it's the laser based units like the Valentine1 which will be outlawed. Snooper have already released a unit with both laser and GPS based recognition BUT with the added bonus of the laser function being disabled / switched off, so you still get the best of both worlds. It just shows, as soon as the law is introduced, there will be companies out there figuring out ways around this.

Afif, detectors CAN be recognised without you being pulled over. I did some research and the detectors actually emit a weak signal, police have the ability to seek this signal and thus pull you over.

As roy said, we'll all need to figure out more stealthier ways of installation. The only problem I can see is that if the cops suspect you of having an illegal device and they can't find it at the roadside AND you as the driver are unco-operative, that they will impound your car and take it apart looking for a device, which, with the right paperwork in place, they have every power to do

GPS units will still be legal... just the laser detection will be banned...so all you Origin B2 users and road angel users will be fine... The police have never said anything about my B2

Nothing is illegal until you get pulled over and charged with possession of illegal products. If the jammers/detectors minimise your chances of being pulled over, who knows you have an illegal device? ;)

whats every1 got anyways? im b2. and i was planning on getting the radar upgrade but like fas says they can detect it. in the states all the cruisers have radar detection fitted and they actually have teams like our cam vans driving about trying 2 pic up weak signals and then doing ppl.... but i have heard u can get a sort of jammer that stops ppl from detecting ur signal  i read it in an american forum forever ago.

I've got a B2 Solo with the radar detector option - it's a separate sensor that is hidden up by the rear view mirror, so uinlikely to be spotted (unless by someone reading this  ) And the sensor is easy to unplug if it does become illegal.

The radar sensor has yet to go off - thankfully!

Will detect hand held and van based mobile radar traps

so if it goes off are does it automatically cut out and give you a warning?

The jammers (imho) are pretty pointless. If you get a speed gun pointed at your car and the guy can't get a reading you're definately gonna get pulled and you might not even be speeding that bad. In that sense it will draw attention to you rather than hide you.

Yep - the B2 speaks and flashes up on the screen to say what type of camera or gun it's detected

The idea of the jammer on the B2 is to block to feds 1st attempt and give you a warning and then by the time they try again on you you wouldve slowed down... So its down to the user not the product....

hi guys , some info and my conclusions :

- FYI the new LE 30 laser jammer ( ahh ..sorry garage door remote opener ) does not give a jam warning on current laser guns , other unit sdo ( except similar lt 400 ...same internals ) .

- LE 30 is marketed and sold as remote door opener so is legal to own and use , according to our best legal advise .

- As long as devices are installed stealthilly , I still say the advantages outweigh the possible penalties , even if caught . My devices have DEFINATELY saved my license

Best combination given ample budget would be IMO :

- b2 (90 - 95% )
- SEPERATELY WIRED Lt 400 or Le 30 laser device (98%)
- Anti flashplates ( 50 %)
- Drive with HID on all the time ...contains a lot of 904 nano metre infra red so blinds laser guns and reduces the distance at which they can target you .

regards
