Quick question.....

How do I go about hard wiring my tomtom b/t gps receiver into the car so that it automatically charges it when the ignition is on?

I know that the b/t gps is powered off 5v and the ciggy adapter steps down 12v to 5v, so I am wondering how it is possible to integrate the two, and whether there are any kits that would allow me to do this quite easily.

I really find it quite annoying having to plug in and charge the gps all the time so a solution to this would be so much easier.

The easiest way would be to find an ignition live, buy an extra cigarette lighter socket, wire in the live to igniton earth it, then run your cable up round the side of the dash to where ever on the screen you mount it...

You could always open up the cig adapter cable and wire it into a 5v live off the ignition (via a fuse off course) but best way is just fone Andy or take it down to Sextons... ;)
