its listed in the car handbook that my car has a 63L tank , 3 days ago I had some papers to finish and didn't have to fill up when I finished , the car had enough fuel for 20 kms (According to the on the on-board computer) I turned of the engine and started filled up the tank up all the way up , no here is what got me thinking about this , I filled the tank with 63L (which only costs 5.6 GBP  :p ) , the tank size is 63 , and me filling it up with 63 although it actually had some fuel in it , is the tank size accurate or is it maybe the petrol station has bad equipment ?

the OBC calculates the mileage in accordance to your driving. It is only a projection. 60 - 63l sounds about right from empty.

The fuel pump is not 100% accurate or anywhere near that infact, and depending on the temperature the same amount of fuel can take up more (if not) or less (if cold) "space" in the tank.

inaccuracy i would say, drove my SLK into petrol station with 1 mile left on the range, the car has a 70 litre tank but only took 63 litres
