Hi all,

Have been looking at getting some new alloys, at the moment I'm inclined towards the CSL reps, Breyton Imagines or a ACS Type 3's.

Anyways which ones do u think would suit a BMW 328CI best. The imagines would look quite bare since i no brake mods :( but a very clean set of alloys!!!

Also would 9*18 fit on the rear without any problems?

Thanks

Its all dependent on the Offsets....I would imagine you would need to have the rear arches rolled if you had it sitting on a lower suspension. If it is on standard you should be fine.

Get them on.....if they rub get em rolled - Its not a major job

By the way...out of the 3 wheels you have chosen (assuming that they are all reps) I would go with the CSLs or Breyton's.....everyone seems to have the ACS ones! (don't get me wrong they are wikid, but be different).

Rochford Tyres has a good selection of replicas with top brand tyres cheapest.

I personally like the split spoke Dreamweavers or the SLR style Boss XTTs[ok

my original Type-II Split rims are sitting in my garage with nearly new Michies PS on them - open to reasonable offers - they are genuine ACS and not reps...

Dunno, if they will fit the E46's .... CLICKIE (http://195.172.152.75/beast.htm)

The Breyton's do look nice mate and would suit the car. However I had 19inch breyton magic's on my 330 when I got it, but have now changed to 18inch Schnitzer type 3.
Beware with the breyton's, they are supposed to be top end, however if you kerb them or something, you won't be able to get them refurbished back to their original glory as they're made of poor quality metal and this results in the wheel not cutting propperly if you are diamond cutting the dish.
You can get them refurbed, but will have to get the shiny dish just painted or something which doesn't look as good.

go for Hartge or Breyton Magic Racing, the above looks a bit like Fox Racing wheels to me :o

The csl reps on the Black coupe that dirty Black posted are the american reps. They are doing a group buy of them on E46fanatics. You'll notice the rears have a deeper centre hub than the fronts.
The UK reps I've seen such as the ones on Phil_D's motor are the same front and back.

CSL reps are nice but if you are choosing between an premium OEM product and a rep for the same money, I would go for the original Breyton ;) If the Breyton Imagines are reps, then go with the CSL as I think the aggressive X-spokes will bring out a better stance.

I agree, the Yank reps look much better with the dish effect. Also, the US spec CSL reps (Velocity) have thinner spokes, which in that aspect more similar to the OEM CSL rims.

Quite correct Richie , the one on E46fanatics look great and all for $999 which is well cheap , not sure if they would ship them but it is well worth asking about it. I really like the Csl reps , but i would have like the rears to have the dish Richie is talking about, might be worth getting a set from the states

The ones in the pic only look like 18's though, do they do 19's?
