For all you forced induction pushers on here, who are you guys insured with?
I've been insured with elephant.co.uk for 3 years now, on a 328i, M3 evo and now 330vert, however they've said that they won't touch it with a super charger on it!

Who did you guys use?

Cheers

Kris

I was with Direct Line as well, £1850 FC for a S/Ced 330ci with an £800 excess. 29 years, central London, off street parking, 7 years NCB.

I'm now paying £1150 for my M3 but I'm now an old git of 30 :p

£500 excess :( but i didnt get a choice of lowering it for a higher premium. They told me an M3 would be the same to insure.

I see what you mean mate, must have lost the plot somewhere along the way!
I've just been 'quoted happy' by direct line insurance, 2,100 for a year with 1 years ncd. That's roughly what I was expecting. I also own a R5Turbo Raider which helped bring the insurance premium down.
BTW, when you turn the boost up on my raider, it absolutly spanks the 330 all the way to about 90mph, but I only pay 600 on that. Work that out!

Cheers

If you crash the 330, it will cost alot more to replace than the 5.

Very varied quotes!!!!! I pay jus over £1k for a 328CI, 24Yrs , 4YRS ncb living in middlesex.

Although a mate was paying the same on a 330ci with him being 29 although he has been banned twice before. I think he hadn't learnt his lesson the first time. :D

It depends alot on the area you live in too and wether you use it for work purposes. But ive never thought of 2k being that expensive because my insurance has always been high (been banned for speeding  ).

Ive always found Directline to be very good, and ive been with Norwich union for 1 other year.
