I'm doing a bit of a project atm where I will need to fill in some parts of the interior and sand them down... Does anybody know what filler I should use? Needs to be flexible, doesn't crack and can be sanded and painted.
Any help is very much appreciated!

it depends on what material your filling in really and how much of a gap your filling.
If its in plastic & like a crack or something then plastic weld or something like that.
If its a big hole or to reshape something like a dash fascia then P38 first, then a light skim of P40. all are available from halfords.
It'll be more help to know exactly what your doing it on and what you want to acheive.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Well I'm building an in-car PC controllable from a 7" touch screen up front in the double DIN dash. Its an e36 btw.
Reason I need to fill is that I need some USB ports up front for the Wireless Keyboard, Memory Sticks etc. I've ordered a new ashtray and I am going to wire them up there. But i'll need to fill the ashytray to secure the wires/adapters etc.
Somebody mentioned Polyester resin. Is this any good?

Cool dude! We can compare problems :)
I'm going for the Xenarc 700TSV 7 inch as I don't think the e36 dash will take the 8 inch!
