Hi crew
The Pod looked wicked, wish I could've been there! That RS6 was sick!

I've got a few questions if any one knows the answers I'd be greatfull [ok

1. Does anyone know if an Exhaust from a 53plate 330ci vert would fit a 51 plate 330ci vert? Does anyone know if they're the same or different exhaust?

2. Does anyone get a perfect picture on their OEM in dash TV? Mine's rather fuzzy but a mate's one is perfect! Is there a signal booster or something I can get?

3. I've kerbed my Schnitzer 3's twice since I've had them, anyone know if you can get just the lip refurbed or do you have to do the whole wheel?

4. Anyone painted their calipers silver.... If so anyone got any pic's?

Any assistance always appreciated.

Cheers

Kris

am pretty sure the exhausts are the same...but then again..I could be wrong! Dr Pepper Nick..would be the best to respond that question accurately!

exhausts will be identical as the engines are the same blocks.

with regard to the refurbs, I'm assuming you have racing type 3's? If so, you CAN just get the lips refurbed, but you have to put some time and effort in yourself

1st option is to send wheels as they are to a specialist who will separate them, refurb and then put back together. But this HAS to be done by a pro who will re-lacquer everything

2nd option, separate them yourself. If you're handy with a torque wrench, you can take the rims apart yourself, and just send off what you want refurbed, this will greatly reduce labour cost as it saves the refurb company doing it.

3rd option. If it IS just the lip that is kerbed, take it to a decent chipsaway franchise who will treat it as a 1 piece rim and just refurb as normal

in that case, yes, just the lip can be refurbed

If it's a stock exhaust, it should fit without any problems. If it's aftermarket, you have to determine which one as the pipes leading up to the rear box are bent differently on some aftermarket exhausts like the Eisenmann and they have different fitment for the coupe and the vert. This is to clear the under chassis X-brace found on verts.

It's the OEM one mate, was thinking of swapping mine with an 03 plate one with only 6000k on it. I can get it for 100£ for the whole system. Is it worth it though if it's the same as mine? Mine's done 55k, will there be any benefits?

Why do you want to swap a stock exhaust with another stock exhaust? Unless yours broken, it'll make absolutely no difference.

That's what i wanted to know mate, just wondered if a newer one would be better!
Do you get a perfect pic. when stationary on your TV? Do you know if there's a signal booster for the TV or something?

Also, anyone with the standard 4.3inch TV, does your screen get very hot when in use?

Cheers

chipsaway do mobile alloy refurb but have heard that they don't last long before they start to flake off.

exhaust should be the same BMW have not modified the engine on later 330, just the looks.

Mits painted the calipers on his old PY M3, ask him for pictures. They don;t look too bad.

I get good reception while stationery, fuzzy pic always while on the move though
