if you turn the ignition on for 10 seconds then off for another 10, then start it, that it should improve the accelerator responsivness, but unfortunayely it dont work on diesels.

no i have not tried it, i dont think it works on diesels, but on petrols its a thumbs up apparantly.

Seriously dude, read stuff before you post it. That procedure resets the user-map on the ECU, basically putting it into 'learn' mode again which includes learning your throttle behaviour. It's used to reset the system after a problem, as outlined in that document.

It won't improve throttle response, it'll re-learn how you drive. If it was reset when you bought the car (most are by the dealers) then it'll end up where it is right now, having learnt the same driving all over again. About all you can do it reset it as in the procedure and cane the arse off the car for 25 miles or so and it'll map a full fuel mix to compensate. Over time, though, if you drive steadily or in traffic it'll just adapt down to that anyway.

yes mate your right, just been reading up on it, it does actually reset the ecu.
