hi
ca has been offered distributorship by Tein suspension for BMW products and we wondered if any of you already using them could give us some feedback on them ? We have heard they are good but never tried them ourselves .
Also they are ridiculously cheap now ( e46 m3 coilover set with electrically adjustable damper settings £960 + vat at full retail !! )
Worth offering by CA do you think ?
thanks

Tein SS coilovers [hiya but without EDFC.
I have them on my car for over a year now. Very good for the money. But given another opportunity, it'll be Bilstein PSS9. They are still the daddy.
Tein are less harsh for everyday use but not as adjustable as the PSS9. Also, you'll need to space the front wheel out by 5mm with certain wheels to clear the coilover.

Juber if you want good value go with a set of KW V1s I would go for V2s personally I love that setup...
Now for Roys question I think that the "new nick" from Greece runs them...

THANKS GENTS
in answer to teh question on FK products ....dont touch them, its all pretty poor quality and awful back up service.
we were UK s first FK distributor and their quality control and dishonest nature almost put us under. How many advertised FK dealers do you see in the UK ? That has to tell you something ......

IMHO the best coilovers for street ( and occ.track) use in terms of combination of value for money and performance are Eibach Pro Street S at £630..awesome value !
best of luck

I have gone FK like mattj but in all fairness I never had any others so i cant compare but i am suitably impressed.
Like nick tho given the choice again i think id go Eibach like Roy said i was just on a budget at the time

Tein C/O's are really good, loads of the SX's boys use them especially with the EDFC.....
Definately worth getting the distribution rights [ok

well i have tein ss coilovers with the edfc....
i used to have pss9 and with a rebuild to make them stiffer but tein is something different all the way....
all the joints are "ball joint" wich means that when the car corners or slides the coilover turns in its inside part as well so you get full coverage from the suspension all the way...also if you start playing with edfc then you can get an awsome set up in your ride....
when i changed i was in a dillema, kw or tein. and then a dvd of how they make the suspension came to my hands and i was convinced that that was my suspension...
you have 32 different set up in bound rebound!!!!with a little agressive set up in the allingment my car corners like crazy!!!!and when its starts drifting you think you never loose control....
yesterday we were at a small track to drift..i tighten the suspension front loosen it in the back a little and the car was handeling beautifull slidding from one corner to the other...
sunday we will visit a normal track and then i will set up in another way...
in japan they practicly use almost the same suspension in d1 championship...while kw or bilstein they have no comparison in their official track and road suspension....
there is a drawback also...i think for me tein is the best cause i like to "drive" my car all the way...its really noisy in the front cause there no rubber in the joints and maybe some bmw owners may dont like that....
other than that absolutely PERFECT!!!

Another set of coilovers i have seen in a magazine....
PI Coilover's - They are £440 for an e46.
Im assusming they are poor quality, will break over 2 speed bumps, squeek, crap aftersales, not a flush fit...
Am i correct or are those coilovers worth buying??
Cheers.
