Can anyone recommend some good speakers for my car? E39 M5.
Would like to stay with JL Audio, got the subs and amps sorted just not sure what i should/can fit in place of the normal door speakers front and rear.
System to be installed so far...
2 x JL Audio 13W6v2 13.5" Subwoofers.
1 x JL Audio 1000/1 Amp.
Thats it at the moment, obviously need an Amp for the door speakers as well. Not sure how much room there is in these doors either.
I also assume i need a new head unit as this lot wont go through the OEM sat nav screen etc??? Can someone confirm this?
Regards people...
PS. Also need a good installer??? Been looking at 'Prestige Audio', Anyone know them?

Um, you need a new head unit before you need any of that, or what's the point in buying it? It'll probably go through the oem head unit, but as has been said in the last dozen-or-so posts about it, it's just gonna sound crap.
Not sure why you'd want to look anywhere other than Andy for an installer Shawn, he's a site sponsor for a reason and besides that you're posting in his section ;).

I used to work for Prestige many moons ago as an installer & they have a good rep but do like to take their time and also charge ALOT!!
JL components are nice as are MB Quarts, Scan-Speaks, Genesis,
Id say try a few out first as it depends on what music you like, how you like it to sound, and most of all budget.
I can tell you for certain though that Dynaudio's or Scan-Speak Revelators dont fit without a hell of alot of work!

No mate, will get it sorted asap, are we still staying at the agreed price last month i think it was?
I will get it done but for the next 3-4 weeks the car will be all over the place so its just a case of fitting it in!

Would these be the Dynaudio Esotar tweeters? I know what you mean, I used to have some in a Vectra. Morel Supremos were slightly smaller, and were better off-axis, so was the better one to have. That's the problem with the Esotar.....massive tweeter which NEEDS to be on axis :(
Never had the pleasure of owning Scanspeak 710000 Revs', but I've heard them in many installs.....sublime! :)
