I've just bought one of these and was looking at how to mount it in the E46 coupe.
I'd rather not screw through the boot carpet and into the floor, if I can avoid it.

My question. Is there a way that doesn't involve putting holes in the carpet and or floor?

I have thought about putting a board down and mounting it to that instead.
But it could slide about.

I could get another boot liner from a breaker and stick velcro to the liner and bass link. Not the ideal solution.

So, if anybody has any ideas, pls let me know.

I've just installed mine on Sunday. The way I drive my M3, no matter how strong the velcro I use, the damn thing still jiggle around inside my boot  The only secure way is to screw it onto the boot floor, unless you custom make a mount for it like what Teddy did to his (mounted vertically on a carpetted box next to the rear top axle mount). I thought of doing the same until my rear strut brace transversed the entire boot from one axle top to the other

So for me it's drill and screw down.

hmm yes also the boot is not entirely flat so you cannot push it all the way back to the back of the seat as it won't fit properly there either. You ca try mounting on the back of the seat though but then again you'll probably find it akward when you fold the seats down trying to squeeze something through hahaha :D
