Will hopefully be finishing off my angel eyes and mirrors this weekend (slacking slightly last weekend) and would like to concentrate on the ICE, as this is starting to bug me.

What do you guys think of Focal Speakers (http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/acatalog/focal_polyglass_v2_component.html), I'm thinking of getting the following, all running off the factory headunit for the time being (will this be enough for a good sound).

Fronts: Focal 130 V2slim
Rears: Focal 165V2
Both with E46 adaptors

Total is £313 inc P&P via a German Site instead of £480 from the UK.

Speak to Andy of Ice Cold Audio, tell him you're from EvoTechnik forum, and your ID on the forum (this goes for everyone). He'll give you all the advice you need and if you mention EvoTechnik, you will get preferential pricing

yea hes the man to chat to!. Also im pretty sure they will sound crap unless you are amping them. Ive been told focal speakers are the shit but obviously u pay the price for em!. If your not amping them then maybe go with the lower end ones because they require less power.

What german site?

Yeah, looked into it further and would be pointless without decent amps (real pain as I wanted to just swap over the speakers), will have to wait to I get paid. Will give Andy a call then.

The site was called caraudio-versand.de (http://www.caraudio-versand.de) and they replied to my e-mail quickly and seem top drawer.

I'm going the german route as I've just saved £400 on some surround sound home cinema speakers as you don't get done for Taxed as we are part of the EU and the UK prices are cr@p. [thumbsdow

There's no site as yet, my invisible friend..........hello are you still there, I can't see you........just kidding ;)

I'm getting the standard system replaced with JL Audio. I've found a good source in the US who Andy might use. JL is so damm expensive over here as dealers pretty much have to charge RRP :(

Hopefully it'll be installed on 19th March, before the next meet and then you can hear it :)

Good stuffs Focal. Heard the Utopia sing powered by Audison Thesis amp back in LA 18 months ago and the sound is really out of this world. Don't ask the price though

hey guys,
yeah the focals should sound clean but why are you only going for 51/4's in the front??

you can get 61/2's in there with minimal work, in fact it will take you longer to fit the adapters in place for the 51/4's!! go for the sixes man they will sound a hell of a lot better.

any probs drop me an email

peace.
