Hi Guys
I know Matt's got a thread about Inspection 1 costs although i thought it would of intrest to highlight my recent service.
I've been researching the high costs of BMW Dealers in the local area and the pricing ranged from £1095 to £799 for Inspection 2 servicing including all parts and VAT.
I still thought this was expensive so i spoke with Thorney in Milton Keynes who quoted £500 all in - Sounded Good but MK is a long drive and the car would need to be kept in MK overnight meaning time of work for me :(
So the plan was to go in person to Gloucester BMW with all these prices and do the old fashion bartering technique. Anyhow met David Jaquest the service manager and we started talking and basically he said he was doing the same research and they are now aiming to become the South West "M" Specialists and as such have slashed their prices. Inspection 2 for £600! No bartering required and I hadnt even told him or shown pricing id collected...
Well picked my car up yesterday paid my £600 and got the car back all nice and clean :)
So all in all im a very happy chappy and thought that this positive move by Gloucester BMW should be hightlighted especially with all the negative news we keep hearing about BMWs warranty change.
