Thank you all, Mwah lol, i could kiss any thing today im sooo happy!!

Yes it is such a difference to the 520i. So bloddy fast, i need to go very very easy with it, and get use to the actual speed, handleing and that SSG gearbox.

It is Velvet blue, with matching interior, its got the lot. Satnav/ TV/ teletext Bluetooth ect ect.

Im getting CCFLs first, then eventually this is the list of things i want doing.

M3 Mirrors
M3 Rear bumper with quad zorsts
M3 CSL front
Lowered on eibachs
19" something lol
And thats it really.

Also met Andy (Icecold Audio) Bloddy nice bloke! [cool

Nick your old car is amazing man, i love those wheels. they do set the car off!

Also some help please, i have a private platewhich is still on my old motor and i need to know how am i going to transfer it over to the new one with out going to the DVLA office. I dont really want to go as i went mad at them today because they were not helpfull and the fact i had to wait 2hours to say NO.

So is it possible to do this via telephone?

Nice buy mate! Like the interior, wish mine ahd Satnav! Word of advice - IMO leave the DSC FIRMLY ON until you get the hang of it - don't be macho, learn the limits with it on and then turn it off [:)]

Not by phone no, but you can get the forms, post it off to Swansea and they do it within a few weeks. If you go to the office though, despite the 2 hour wait (the same in every UK DVLA office, stupid organisation) you can get it done on the spot - I do every time. I am guessing if you traded in the 5, you put the plate on retention? If not, get it off pronto so the dealer doesn't have any rights to it, if its left on the car they technically own it unless you have agreed otherwise?

Either way it'll cost you £80. You can take it off the 5,put it on retention and then put it on the 330 when the paperwork comes back (which takes alot longer), or transfer it straight from the 5 to the 3.

Juber - You've done well for yourself!!! A 330ci sport at 18 - bloody hell, I was driving a 1993 Pug 205 GTI at that age! The car looks superb, I love the two-tone interior - The only thing I think you need to mod is the steering wheel to a nice chunky M3 SMGII one [you can preserve the paddles]. Everything else on the car is A1 - maybe an Eibach Springs drop but aside from that - it is lovely! Clean it up and give it a coat of wax and you've got yourself a serious head-turner there.

I also have to say that I think the pre-face lift looks sportier and more aggresive, but then I would say that :)

Wait till you see what's under the bonnet :D I don't think other than the crew, many people on EvoTechnik today has actually seen my old car (those were the days when only 5 of us log on every evening)

If you want to transfer your paddles onto the M-Sport wheel, give me a shout. I can guide you through the process. You need to drill the wheel and shave off some material. SMG2 paddles are not compatible with your SSG set-up.

I'm pretty sure that the SSG paddles can be transfered over to the SMGII wheel:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/n/t/134.png

Note parts 9-13 can be substitued for:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/z/p/138.png

parts 9 and 10 [which you already have] <- integrated rocker switches

SMGII wheel: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BL92&mospid=47621&btnr=32_1288&hg=32&fg=35

SSG wheel: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BD52&mospid=47620&btnr=32_1344&hg=32&fg=35

Again - lovely car!

Raj, did look into this in detail in the past when I did my conversion. It may look similar but it's actually very different. The paddle operation is completely different (SMG unidirectional and SSG bi-directional) Hence, the circuitary is also completely different. Unless you replace the entire unit ie: SMG Part 9,10,11,12,13 with SSG part 9,10. But then, they seat very differently on the steering wheel and you'll still need to modify the mounting surface. It's easier to modify a stock M-Tech wheel than an SMG wheel with pre-cut out mounting sections.
