It's taken a while but I wanted to wait until Rockingham to post up pics of my 99.99% completed ICE install.

First and foremost, big up to Andy. Without him, none of this was possible. He's worked into the night on MANY a day and he's a true soldier. He's done some amazing work on the crew cars and this was no exception. I had one requirement. BASS.

The Boot.

Complete retrim by D:Class in Alcantara. All carpeted areas retrimmed in black and grey. Boot lid incorporates a 6.5inch LCD monitor

TWO JL Audio 8w7 sub woofers. These things drop

JL Audio e1800d, 2 JL Audio e1250's on a custom amp rack, painted spare wheel well, d:class retrimmed boot floor incorporating "BigFas". I know the "Michael Jordan" logo may be out of place, but he was a big influence to me so it means a lot to me to have the logo there. (top layer of perspex is heavily scratched, but it's only temporary until we get some new sheets in)

Again, MASSIVE thanks to Andy of ICE cold. A true soldier. Also, thanks to Dave and Dan @ D:Class for sorting out the retrim. The workmanship is unbelieveable

Looks pukka  ...

Interested to see exactly how the head unit fits.. Some very strategic positioning of the steering wheel between the head unit and the camera LOL..

I would love to replace the head unit in mine but have yet to find a blanking panel that looks OEM.. Whaich one did you use or was it a custom made one from ICECold?

How do you find the Bass in the car?... I think verts have gotta be one of the hardest to get Bass in.. I take it the ski hatch has been removed/ported?

I've seen that system evolved from a Basslink to the current state [ok . The sub box is my personal favourite, just so neat and tidy. M ownership has made me yearn for the spare wheel well, you can really let your imagination run wild with that extra space for amps.

Bro, I reckon you can get much tigher bass reproduction with dynamatting your boot floor and lid. You are loosing a lot of bass definition through rattles. Sound deadening makes a huge difference.

sound deadening does make a massive difference 10-20 db in some cases the more you can cram in all over the better.

Looks pukka Fas!
What speakers you got in the rear?

I had a convertible once...
http://www.xstyle.co.uk/3641.html

Had JBL GTO's 6x9's in custom pods in the rear by fibreglass, reupholstered in leather. You can just about make them out in the 3rd pic if you look hard enough! I had mad bass in that...! :D

Dynamat is the way to go (or as others will tell you that B&Q flashing tape also does a reasonable job!)

My cousin got 158 db at a MaxPower show a few years ago @ NEC, I have all his kit ...just never got round to fitting it in one of my project cars...
Audiobahn kit... 3 x 12's, chrome mirror finish amp with gauge, crossovers etc etc

I am drawing inspiration from yours and Nicks installs.... and Andy is only down the road... hmmm........

The amp rack just rules. You walk over and thinking 'o right just an amp under some plexi' but then you see the other two underneath :D. Slick. Retrimming as expected is top notch from what i saw at on the ring trip and you just cant mess with W7's [jam. Icecold Audio does it again :D.
