I've got Eibach Pro springs on my 320Ci (2002) 1.5cm at the front and 1 at the back. My alloys are 225/45/R17 on 17x8J, Bridgestone S03's on the front getting near legal limit and new Bridgestone 050's on the back - my car tends to tramline very strongly these days. My local garage today told me that the tracking is fine and its most likely the shocks. I've also got powerflex bushes on the front. I've been told either to put the stock springs back or get different shocks - what do you think?

What would be a good set of shock to go with the Eibach springs? I dont want the ride to get an harder.

How many miles have your car done?

Tramlining is usually not due to worn shocks. Your shocks are worn when your car feels very wooly going round corners and bounces over speed bumps.

If you want to keep a comfortable ride over anything else, just get replacement OEM M-Tech sport shocks. They work well with the ProKit.

Alternatively, try Koni adjustables or FSD. However, you will have to adjust them to suit your liking and they are not bolt and play.

Its got 39500 mile on the clock. It feels fine round the corners, it just seems to like following the camber of the road. If the road is smooth its fine.

I'll have a look at both of those options thank you :)

Made some progress on this today! I put some old 15" alloys on the front 205/65/R15 on 15x7J and the car was a hell of a lot better, still tram lined a little bit but nothing too aggressive. So when I got back I put the new 050's on he front and the and old S03's on the back - much better. So for some reason it was the tyres. Infact it only got bad after I had changed the back tyres a few weeks ago. I had also had the tracking done so I thought that was the cause.

Me = [ok

Its still a tad juddery at slower speed over deep bumps so I'll investigate different shocks anyway :)
