View Full Version : Aftermarket LED rears on '99 Coupe

Anyone here have a review or experiance of these EXACT lights ?

I want to upgrade to LED's and am drawn toward these as they have OEM look interior trunk lights (rather than some of the aftermarket LED's with a big bare round bulb inside, which looks cack)

A few years ago trying to bag yourself a set of genuine LED's off ebay was harder than a shire horses erection.

Don't buy aftermarket LED's, they are not the same IMO, some are better than others, some are shite.

Keep your eye on ebay for some genuine ones, also search on ebay.de

Totally agree with Matt on this one. You'll pick up a genuine set off of ebay or essential-bmw have asecond hand set for about £200. Genuine ones will look soooo much better.

But how am I gonna get them running on my '99 ?

I thought I'd need a new LCM AND a dealer 'flash' and thats gonna run to bucks aint it ?

Oh and where do I find essential-bmw, did a quick google with no joy?

Def go OEM with this mate, i bought sme second hand units from ebay & a new LCM unit as a second hand could not be coded to my car.

They are worth every penny. :)

Just done mine on a 'vert, and ended up paying £300 for the lights, they are about 6months old, but were only on a car for 3 of them, recode at the stealers was £36 all in. Not bad really, and they look the mutts nuts imo :cool:

Theres the link mate! they are selling owm led lights for £225 they are based in luton (bedforshire) there srvice is good i bought a few parts of them

The LCM was £224 from BMW inc vat :mad:
