my climate control had gone funny.
the blower fan starts to go on full blast when it was on a normal setting, it sometimes comes on and off.
everything is fine on the dash.
so i did a search on e46fanatics and the result was i need to replace a final stage resistor.
which only cost around £60. ( i think they have an updated one now).
Now, the only thing i need to know is where is the resistor actually located.
on e46fanatic, some says it's behind the glove compartment and other say it's behind the panel below the steering wheel near the "bulkhead"?
where the hell is the bulkhead?
here is the link anyway.

I had issues with my ac unit..but it was apparently a fault of BMW and when I gave it to the dealer they just updated the software. The fan used to stay on for a while after the car was turned off....therefore draining the battery...thought I should share that information with u all..even thought its probably useless!!

arh that wasnt as easy as i thought it was going to be.

Well that article has got a ton of pics so know point in post anything different..
I checked out that parts number and came up with nothing but i did find that part hes talking about 64 11 8 385 549 (Blower High Setting) what ever that is??

The bulkhead is whats between you and your engine bay the superstructure of the car i.e. like a wall in your house.

Unfortunately i couldnt tell jack from ETK as i wanted to check what the story would be for a RHD.

Looks pretty straight forward from what that guy was saying, LHD get into the footwell, under the dash along the center console towards the bulkhead.....

I dont know what the big difference is between LHD & RHD sorry so it might be in the same place??

Was that useless!!! :o
