Unfortunately I can't help you, but I just wanted to say this is exactly the type of question this forum was setup for, the more questions we get like this, the better the forum comes in terms of becoming an information source for everyone, bling certainly plays a part in the community, but for you rev-heads out there, keep popping questions like this, you're making this a great place to hang out, in fact, I've all but stopped browsing all other forums I'm a member of and spend most of the day on here!
Rock on!

I've never heard of zinc lined hoses, but I heard that zinc plates are normally used for male/female connector bits to maximise corrosion protecion. in turn, most good hose lines are multi-layered (teflon/stainless steel/plastic etc.) to prevent loss of braking pressure (hose doesn't expand as much like OEM rubber ones), as well as preventing chaffing when the hose rubs against the frame/suspension parts. Also, your neighbours from hell would have a hardder time cutting your brake line too :D I fitted Goodridge ones for my old car (E30) and the braking force was notably stronger, although this does change your braking habits for the worse...
sorry but what is a brake hose [hmm. I have an idea but rather someone clear it up :D

Part of the brake system which carries the brake fluid and passes the pressure down to the brakes. Thats about the extent of my knowledge other than I had to have some replaced at my mot :o
As for the question, I'm afraid I have no idea.

Zinc is old fashioned. Used for their anti-corrosive properties. Now you get stainless hoses instead. Goodrich is by far the most popular, used by many top brake manufacturers like AP and Brembo as OEM parts. You can most definitely feel the firmer brake pedal and it's a worthwhile upgrade.
yep, its much better getting Stainless steel ones.. goodridge are the most popular.. checkout www.brakehoseshop.com, most big brake kits, will come with stainless hoses and dot 5.1 fluid etc..

Its the hose that connects your brake cylinders to your brake callipers/drums.
The majority of the connections are unflexible metal pipe work which is rigidly attached to the car. However, when the pipes reach the wheels they need to be flexible to allow for the up and down suspension travel and left and right movement of the front wheels.
In these cases rubber hoses are used. Unfortunately even when new these hoses expand when you put your foot on the brakes due to the pressure. This wastes brake pressure and gives you a spongey feeling. Braded hoses have chainmail type outer walls which allow the hose to bend but not expand in diameter like the OEM ones. This results in no wasted pressure and a more direct feeling.
Some people say that the braided hoses can make it feel too hard and like an on-off switch. Its all personal preference really.

Usually zinc coating is to prevent corrosion on corrosive metals, ie steel.
Stainless steel is a non-corrosive alloy and therefore doesn't need a zinc coating.
I've used Goodridge in the past, gave good feedback.

Maybe I should create a "Question Time: Tin and Pepper" Section.
