MOT Question about wheels/tyres

I need to get my car through its MOT
Currently its got 1 x gashed rea tyre (cut in inside tire wall)

If i replace both rear wheels with some 16" rims and tires from my dads 320d - will this be legal ??This would just to get it through - as im planing on selling my current 17"s and getting some 18"s as 1 obviously needs new rubber and the other have 3mm left

I dont want to do this if it wont pass - if u know what i mean..:)

I doubt that having 17s on the fronts and 16 on the rears will pass MOT, youre better off changing all 4 with your dads 4 16s...imo

As above, I'm sure if you replaced them all with the 16's it should be alright.
