Hi all

I recentely purchased some 18" Schnitzer type 3's and also got the spacers and slightly longer bolts. I was just wondering if it's safe to drive with 4 of the schnitzer bolts and 1 standard length locking nut per wheel...

cheers

No. The standard locking nut will not give enough thread to hold the wheel in place, maybe only half a turn, if that?

I bought some ACS locking nuts for about £40 from the dealer. Job done

I drove around with the standard locking bolt for nearly 3 years!

BMW left it on when they fitted my wheels, but as Fas says not wise!
