HI

CA is proud to announce we can now provide a race grade ceramic coating service for most metal parts , pistons ,valves , con rods etc .

Once the preserve of rich race teams only , this process coats the component in a heat proof ceramic micro coating , thus preventing heat damage / heat soak / heat transmission .

I have held a propane torch on the underside of a coated M3 Evo piston until it was red hot and could not feel hardly any elevated temperature whist touching the coated face at the same time .

An engine loses between 40 - 55 % of its available power through heat , so coating all the reciprocal parts of an engine is said to increase its power anywhere from 8 - 15 % ....just by applying this coating .

A set of six pistons , rods and bolts will cost about £500 all in to coat , now lets say this only gives a 5% power increase , thats a 15 bhp increase , or say £33 ish per extra bhp , which compares very favourably with the rough average for other forms of tuning , for example :

supercharging £50 / bhp
eisenmann exhaust £ 80 / bhp

will post up images soon

Roy would exhaust manifolds benefit from this aswell ? ie help flow the gas easier  :)

Roy,

Would this affect warranties at all? And is it the same £500 for the M5's?

hi

yes manifolds will also benefit from this process

the £500 estimate was based on a 6 cylinder car , the 8 cylinder models would be about 35 % more
thanks
