x-tec hid conversion

Hi there
Has any one fitted hid/xenon conversions to their o/e headlamps (e46)? I've just recentely fitted a set and the obc light comes on and says the headlights are out, although their working. The guy from umnitza told me to pull fuse number 32 out and it will solve the problem, however when I did this it made the obc show that the back lights are out too!
Any ideas anyone on how to get this obc light to go out?

I got mine done last year but my kit came with a resistor so it solved the warning lamp problem. as far as I know there are only 3 methods of btpassing the problem:

- get ecu flashed by dealer
- fit a resistor
- pull out fuse 32

i have no idea why the rear lamp warning has come on [hmm i assume you checked all bulbs are working right? maybe u can try the following (may not help at all)

- remove battery terminal for 30 sec, then reconnect
- key position to 1, leave for 20sec
- key position to 2, leave for 20 sec

since the resistor is quite expensive, i suggest u take a wee visit to the dealer if the fuse trick isn't working for you. good luck bro:)

yep, i bought mine projector46 last year as well from umnitza.
i just pulled the fuse 32 out and it was fine.
so don't know why your backlight warning it's on though.

Yeah they're the exact same ones as mine, projector 46 from umnitza! Gonna try pulling that fuse again tonight, maybe I pulled the wrong one? If that don't work, I suppose I'll have to go to BMW and get it flashed for about five grand!
