E38 SMG Paddleshift

Now this is what I need! So an E46 M3 wheel will fit my E38.

New steering wheel and SMG please.

Nick had the SSG gearbox which comes with paddles as standard from BMW :)

Just remembered him posting on the BMW Car Forum about changing his steering wheel aaaaaages ago.

as far as im aware its the same concept. Your paddles will just act as the + and - in the semi mode i think.

As far as nick is concerned im pretty sure he retrofitted his SSG paddles onto a regular M steering wheel. It was a long time ago so wait for him to confirm :D.

I think he retrofitted SMG paddles into his SSG steering wheel ;) , becuase the SSG and SMG had diffrent desgin paddles

I fitted SSG paddles onto an M-Sport steering wheel, something BMW never offered.

I got my kit from Vince (paddleshift guy, he's 100% reliable)

Vince has been on the ball answering all my queries - good to know he was the same with you - it's a lot of money to spend on the unknown!

Soon as I've moved home it's SMG, CAI, widescreen NAV in any spare time between a lot of major house DIY :rolleyes:

New house has a drive and a garage/workshop, so can't wait to move from shared parking and interfering resident's associations :mad:
