View Full Version : Help, e39 has got an air problem.
Hi guys well not to sure if really anything can be done except to go to the dealer but thought i would ask..
My mothers 530 has decided not to let any air into the cabin be it aircon or recirculated, any ideas anyone??
Sorry not much else to go on it just doesnt want to do anything :o
My dad changed the micro filters last week but cant see how that would have done anything.
yo,
are you sure the air cond/fan are working? could be a blown fuse?
you might also try and check to see nothing blocking the air way.. take out the micro-filters, and twist and lock turn the plastic tubing and it should come out...you should then be able to see the 3" openings for the air going into the cabin...
hope this helps..
Good call Tin, the fan wasnt working at all lastnight, so maybe the fuse could be something to look at dah why didnt we think of that
cos when summin goes wrong you panic first! You think is 'shit how much is that going to cost me' [crackmeup.
no probs mate, happens to all of us. ;)

broken switch, blown fuse???
did the fan work erratically before it stopped working? i read from other forums that it may be related to a final stage resistor or something along those line...a big maybe...
Nah when something goes wrong you push all the buttons turn it on then off push all the buttons again then hit and kick afew things.. fingers crossed it all works then you cry!
Haha its not my car or cash so im not that worried..sad i know... Its summer and u cant really drive on the motorway with your windows open :p
