Hey guys, after much fiddling with the calibration, I finally managed to get the white dials and chrome rings fitted. I could have adjusted the dials to illuminate green, but seemed a bit tacky, so went for blue instead. Took 2 hours in total and costwise, 8 quid for the dials, 21 for the rings, and 65p for the wire tap. Looks okay innit? Got my flame suit on so fire away:)
p.s. thanks to Teddy for supplying the rings:)

Blimey, that actually looks pretty good! I would be shit scared to do that mod. I'm a flid at the best of times and can just about wire a plug. Good job
mmm thats does'nt look too bad [hmm
I think i'd prefer it in orange to match the rest of the dash, but that kind of defeats the point of changing it.

DOH, just realised that I forgot to paint the needles red so better watch out for the speed during the day (at night, the needles glow ok).
one fault with the dial is that the top warning symbols (battery etc.) are printed in red, so you can't see them when it lights up - you only see a red square...we learn things everyday...
not a fan of the chrome but definately liking the rest of the work :D. Nice job!

Teddy, is there a kit that does all 4 colours (I heard the new Mustang has a dash that does like 120 colours) ? If so I want it! Mines only does green&blue but I've locked it to blue only but I can adjust it if I want to tho (green seemed naf). Teddy, you're based in Staines aren't you? I was there today and maybe should have hooked up and introduced myself [hiya
Ali, I am a complete DIY spaz so if I can do it, you can do it too. I'd say the difficulty is 3 out of 5. I read up on the UUC install instructions and that was it. I can send it to you if you want. was really easy but you'll need a lot of guts to remove all the needles as there is a danger that you'll break the entire speedo:(
Annyway, my Sunday mods will continue next week with K&N filter and some BBS RCs:)
