Read the manual for your car...
I know on older model 3series they where driving lamps and not fog lights and you can't be prosecuted for having them on... As it says to drive on driving lamps and side lights in a lit area....
Might help...

Well mate, don't mean to be blunt, but:
1. A telling off is better than being mashed, trust me mate, definitely worth using it.
2. Well, whatever, partly cops being picky, partly you sort of asking for it? Especially the halos as well.
3. Lol, surely you were expecting it sooner or later?
Don't mean to be funny, they didn't give you points so you're alright really, but you were an easy target. Being young in a BM is enough, don't go asking for it. :)

i was asking for it big time lol...the front number plate is the biggest magnet to cops lol.i always drive with my f.fogs on...let me correct that i "did" drive with my f.fogs all the time, all the time people will flash their headlights @ me to say there on. u will see what i mean by the front number plate once i posted the pic!
its still a bummer though 90bar fine for silly reasons! lol. & im skint after all this x.mas shoppig crap.

Not what you want to hear but........
Young guy, flash car, modded & illegal, probably late @ night - what do you expect ?
Lower your profile & go stealth, it will cost you a lot less in the long run & still be [cool
Well at least lose the motorbike front plate, that would really p*ss off any policeman

Must admit my pet hate is front fogs on when they aren't needed, no seatbelt on - well, you will learn the heard way. Good job the policeman stopped you to give you a telling off rather than picking bits of your brain and face off the road and bonnet. Can't understand why anyone would drive without a seatbelt unless there is a medical reason. As Fas says, you live and learn.
Have to agree with all the others.... You shouldn't go lookin' for trouble by putting small bike plates and the like on as it just begs for them to stop you. It was gonna happen sooner or later and has been said, at least no points.

No offence ment to anybody but i call them w**ker lights. Most People don't realise that the only time they are useful is when visibility is so bad you can only 20MPH, Then you can go onto side lights (or angels) to minimse the glare.

having that bike plate was like putting a neon sign on the car " SAYING DO ME " .
if you didnt have that and they never noticed you didnt have ure seat belt on then you might have not been done .
just think ure self lucky you never got any pionts that could have hurt in the long run.
still isn't nice getting done so sorry to hear but we all learn the hard way well i aways do :D

If you wanna take one thing from this thread mate, it is definitely use the belt, theres no reason not to. The other things will get you a fine, maybe some points, but not using a belt could lose you your life. That really is one instance where the coppers are only trying to help, as Mystic says, better a telling off than a trip to A&E (or worse). :) Don't mean to get on my high horse mate, just don't want to hear bad news over the forum. [ok
As for the fogs Fas, I don't know either. Maybe you can't turn them off on Pugs?

Nah, it's not you getting old, it just looks stupid, even worse when people have them on at daytime. Have to say, it's hardly surprising you got pulled.

i do it because i think it looks pretty cool with the angel eyes on! but lesson learnt the harsh way i suppose! wont be doing it alot now lol.

Help :( ...... they are sitting on the shelf at the end of my room with about an inch of dust on top of the box lol! ( tin had a go @ fitting the CCFL's before but he didnt have any luck as the glue/ seal was very strong) i think dremel is the only answer but i dont wana do it!
