Hi Guys
I have been looking out for the right breadvan for while now and I have found this one, what a beauty:

http://www.munichlegends.co.uk/sales/stock_details.phtml?stock_id=X321+BHP&stock_details_back=%2Fsales%2Fstock_list.phtml%3Ft ype%3Dstock&session=c44539f23fa85841605b1201683198a7
I know the price is top end however I am going to visit the car later this week and to get a price on trading my old vert in...
Insurance is obviously a lot more however still well under a grand (I am 28)
Thoughts please :)
Great car, love the number plate[cool
Its nice, but I wouldn't go for it.
I'd go for this:

Mate, I had one of these cars and i know the market well. That is crazy money for the red one, with that millage it should be closer to £17k-18k.
They are out there, have a look on the z3mcoupe forum, there are loads of very well looked after ones.
I would bide your time and wait until the perfect one comes along, dont spend over the odds, remeber these cars cost a bomb to run. Servicing and parts are not cheap, they are the same, if not more, to run as an M3.

I really appreciate your comments... The biggest problem I have is my heart rules my head far too often...
When you say running costs are more than an M3, why is that?

Imola red looks spot on on those cars I reckon. No idea about those prices though.

Paul, you're only young once. If your heart is set for one, go for it! [ok I'm sure you've searched the entire UK market for one already, so it's time to make up your mind :D :D .......... and come along to Nurburgring with us next year :D :D :D
I would say running cost for these kind of cars is mostly fuel if you use the car daily. I get 200 miles out of a tank on my M3 in town use. If I drive hard, 180 miles :( But I use my car only on weekends, so it's OK.
Insurance is expensive. But if you've already found one acceptable to you, then you're set.
The other expensive outlay is servicing, especially the Inspections. The S50 and S54 engines are the most expensive engines to service at Inspections because the tappets have to be re-shimmed. And the mechanics can only work on your car when the engine is cold to get accurate readings. Expect £650-900 per Inspection service, even at Independents. Oil service is pretty standard at £160.
Rear tyres go every 8000-10000 miles. But internet tyres are pretty cheap these days, especially in 17".
Other than that, the rest are pretty alright. Brake components are no more than your E46 325 and there are always aftermarket parts.

Although the car is not my thing, I have to admit it does look rather yummy in the red. I also have that problem of 'heart ruling head...and purse' :D but when it comes to that sort of money, be real careful and think 'bout it. If you wait even a short while, you mite find an even better buy! Good luck and let us all know what you decide.
