Ok i won some 'Black Carbon' trim off ebay. The item was apprently located in london. Ended up being located in germany and taking 2 weeks to arrive. Only it wasnt black carbon that arrived.

So i now have a full brushed aluminium set. Im deciding whether i should send it back for a replacement which will take like a month by the time it gets there and back , or just keep this one. Will post pic of the set ina bit. Its in good nick except one front door drim which has a small dent.

What you guys think?, Black carbon is the sport carbon cube thingy not geniune carbon fibre :p .

yea its a mission communicating with this buyer ...seriously crap english, and im weary of sending it back and ending up with nothing. I asked for them to send me the one they were meant to send me with return postage paid ill just put in the aluminium ones and send it back. That way i can see which looks better neways :D Will see what happens.

how did you pay the guy? cos they usually accepts wire transfer only, it's free to them and fast.
alot of oversea ebayers pretend that they are in UK, so i usually email them to see if i could pick them up.
pain in the ass buying things from germany [thumbsdow
up to you if you want to take the risk, i would really just keep it.
i think the brushed aluminium would give you some contrast with your black interior.
just my 2 cents.

Brushed aluminium looks great with black interior cars. Looks very modern and sporty, best BMW trim imo. :) [cool

I want to see how Teddy's silver CF compares though.

Dude my black trim isnt in the best of nick (specially driver's door). Im thinking of vinyl'ing it in the future to a different colour :D cos spraying wont hide the scratches.

I hear yah, i was talking to Teddy about the Cf for the saloon and the best he could do was get my OEM dash trim lamianted in matching CF, which is why i guess i was wondering what you were going to do with yours.

Am thinking about getting a temp trim set while i contemplate the CF costs

yea i was going to get CF style vinyl but someone was telling me because its hard to apply without stretching a little it may come out looking odd because the design wont be consistent.

The trim is for coupe. That long dash piece is the wrong curvature for saloon :(. Do coupes have trim on the back door? Or is that one dash piece the only difference?

afif looks like you are telling quite a story there lol and can't believe that I missed it from the start!

you don't really need any tools to remove door trims, a torx screw driver and a small flat head screw driver that all you need. Coupe and saloon trims are very different the curvatures are different and trims on coupe should include the whole arm rest replacements. On saloons the door trims (4 pcs) are only small pcs that pop off easily.

Can't believe that the seller sent you LHD trims LOL did he mention in the auction that it was for LHD cars?

I offer a very cost effective and quality carbon fibre lamination service so basically anything apart from ABS can be turned into carbon fibre. I am sending some of my interior bits to the factory to have them tranformed [cool

About the item. She sent me the wrong item. Period. not the one i bid on (right hand drive black cube). Im trying to get it sorted.
