"The Night of the Rim Change"
It all started today, Ali set out on this trip to pick up this Type II Racing's, that have just all been painted Silver, some of you might remember them in a blackish colour.
As some of your know my Rims are going to make way for a new look.
So decide to do a little Rim Swap.... the mission:
1. Take off Ali's 17"
2. Put on Ali's 18" Type II's
3. Take of my Type III's
4 . Put on Ali's 17" on my car.
Sounds easy enough right.
Ali's rims came off no problem, while installing his type II's however, "Dod" for those that know him, manged to bend the ACS Unlock Key, after a few mintues we managed to hammer it back into shape, it was very lucky, I think ali was about to kill him, as pictures will tell.

We then finished off, under the light of our High Tech lighting solution.
And took some pictures.

Now to install my "New Rims", and take of my Type III's these have served me well in the last 3 years, hopefully they will go to a good home.
While unjacking the car, and mount decided to come out with the jack, which was a first. Have to go to BM to get that properly sorted me thinks.
Biggest thing that stopped us was getting the spacers off the rear wheels, they had become part of the Hub, a quick call to Peppernick, gave us a few idea, "Dod" redeemed himself, by getting both spacers off, and second one was done in record time.
I tell you this guys, she is even lower! Can't believe I have 17" on my car!!!! [bang
But she will be re-born and rock with her new shoes, hopefully in a month or so. I say no more..... [jam

at least i can tell what wheels it is from far away. :D :D
looked like fun. I never have a problem with changing wheels since dad owns a few tyre shops :D. How much were you looking for again for your rims?

man, that's the funniest thing I've seen in ages! I have REALLY got to buy one of those hi-tech lighting solutions. My 500w halogen worklight is no match :D
Does your mum know you're using the family silver to rip off the spacers? Genius I tell you, genius!
You gonna tell us what new shoes you've got in store?

It just goes to show, you don't need fancy garages or expensive tools... as long as you have a few butter knives, a hammer and a lantern nothing can stop you!
