Which one do you have? Round airbag or triangular?
What car is it? (much easier if we know what year/spec car you have) ;)

You need to buy a wiring adapter from BMW (£15) and the multifunction fascia (£60-100) on ebay. It will involve some wiring connections behind the steering column. PM Alisayyah, he has just retrofitted his 318i ES with it.

:) :) Thank you for the info
Its quite a simple mod, its just that the wiring's pretty tricky to get right...
There are basically 6 wires on the loom... three go to the LCM (light control module), two go in the steering column and one has to be fed through the dash into the engine bay and then to the ecu...
I'm gonna put up the retrofit pdf for the BMW EBA so take a look...

:) :) :) :) Thanks Ali, that is really excellent. Do you know if BMW will sell the kit without installation. I would like to try installing it myself,if i get it.
Yep, they sell the full kit... The part number is in the pdf also... It will come with the loom, two connectors, an extra wire, and the buttons!
Good luck! If you need more help when you get it, give me a shout!

Hi there, please can you help! got e46 2000 jan, triangular air bag, no multi function, can I fit multi function wheel, with round bag? I think they have two plugs on air bag, and mine only has one,, not to sure if all of them are the same?, and give a problem with air bag dash light ? thanking you, dave
I'm pretty sure it will work fine, I know somebody who's done the same mod...
You just need to get a hold of a new steering wheel WITH the airbag and the loom mentioned above...!
