there quite easy i think u take the engine out then the interior after that u take the side skirts off rear bumper and cut the car in half.
I think u then stick or pop rivit the spliiter onto the bumper :D

Looks good, they're crying out to be colour coded though :)
I see CCFL's, SSDD Mirrors and silver bulbs. Great start :)
Is it just me are all of the Mtech cars on this forum starting to look the same :D

after much thinking we decided to leave them black as that way people'd spot them straight away, if you paint them silver then they'll just disappear
I bought some self tapping screws from Homebase with some washers they do the job nicely didn't even need the double sided tape at all

CS splitters will not be seen often on the roads still, that's why I decided to make them coz genuine ones cost 180 for a pair. It's you lot (well us Evotechnik crew :P) whose cars are all fitted with da splitters lol
yea good point. Even though everyone on here is looking the same. You lot are a small percentage of e46 owners :p So u all look different when driving around.

If it were only the case, then I would still be sporting the clubsport splitters. The only problem I have with them is if you look at the other BMW forums, they're all doing the same thing :)
That's why I say colour code them as only the "proper" modders go this route as opposed to leaving them standard black.
It's all horses for courses, and personal choice :)

Why do I get the feeling some kind of polished metal effect would look amazing on those splitters? Would be really imposing and look amazing, anyway, feel free to disagree.. ;)
Shuriken.
lol soundz like chrome splitters on the way :o.

I think silver/titanium carbon splitters would look sick on silver cars lol

silver carbon will look great on a silver car.
DAN, COLOUR CODE THE SPLITTERS!!!!
will look 10x better IMO.
They are a very nice and yet simple addition to any compatible ride...
Its a flow thing i.e. CF front then you have to get a CF rear window spoiler...
Personally im going to try the ACS CF splitters, kinda not sold on either but everyone here seems to have CS splitters  what can you do
I guess i could get a Mcoupe hahaha :D

Waaa Ted starts a thread all about my ride and I miss it for like 2 whole days! :(
Kav, you crack me up dude, lol! You and I gonna be talking in the new year about ride height I think.. ;) Gonna check out the CF splitters when the Tedmeister gets some in. I couldn't remember if you said you could get silver CF or not bro, I'm thinking that's my happy medium between non-matching CF and colour-coding, maybe we take a good look at those.. :D
I'm open to suggestions on colour-coding if I stay with plain ones, but we spoke at length about it (while Teddy's arm dropped off holding the splitters against the bumper!) and I think they'd just get lost in the moulding, ya know? Hard to spot against a standard MTechII unless it was right next to it or you really knew your stuff. I did want something 'different', but it's kinda hard to do on a budget and there's still a chance I'll be changing my ride next year so I've tried to keep it all easy to change back to stock if I chop it in.
As for stuff that I've done, yup Fas pretty much got a lot of the list there, all SSDD kit, but with service and friendship like the big man gives ya, why go anywhere else? ;) CCFLs, 6500k main bulbs, 6500k fogs, silver indicators, blue interior bulbs, folding mirrors, CAI and now the splitters..and I think he's whet my appetite enough to brave the other half's wrath when I mention the name 'Eibach' after Xmas (lol I'm so dead)!
Dan
Nice Dan, Brave the wrath u know you want to ;)
What do you think of the mirrors??
Chaos
19-12-2004, 10:58 PM
Mirrors are top notch. Ted organised the spraying and I gotta say it's first class aswell. We had a bit of a novel experience with the fitting, as both mirrors wanted to do the same thing at the same time. Looked like a little puppy with one ear up and one ear down. :D Did some playing with the wiring though and sussed out how to change it, so we'll all know for next time and it was never a problem anyway. They do make the side of the car look so much sportier than those damn great flappy stock mirrors!
Cheers mate always keen to hear peoples opinions before setting my heart of things. ;)
