Guys, don't know if you've been having the same experience but I've been ordering some genuine ACS parts and have been phoning round the Scottish dealers to get some prices.

After a bit of pushing, most will offer a discount of 15-17.5% but I've managed to get a couple offering a 22% discount!

Now this seems good, but is anyone getting genuine parts at a better discount on catalogue price elsewhere?

For your information, the discount is being offered off the price inc. VAT.

wow 22% is quite alot especially since most bmw parts cost enough . Is is specific to general items or on anything?

I've been getting quotes for wheels, mirrors and a roof spoiler. Discounts have been offered as a whole or individually.

Different dealers will give different discounts based on their own stock levels. All the dealers I know (about 5-6) all like to run their stock levels really lean and only order on demand, this does not apply to service items as they're always kept nice and healthy.

If the dealer orders parts in and they don't shift, they don't like it as it looks bad on their monthly reporting to their regional HQ's as it looks like they are mis-managing their warehouses.

When I bought my ACS rims, they were lying on the dealer floor for months and I got them with more than a 50% discount. It sometimes pays to call around

never had discounts from any dealers, so I decide to make my own lol ;)

22% seems a lot dude, for example you are looking at a saving of almost 1k when buying a set of 19" 3pcs wheels....
