You need to line up the splitters and drill 3 holes into the bumper using the splitter holes as template, then screw 'up' into the bumper from underneath the spiltter. The upper edge of the splitter is held on by double sided tape.

Do you think i can get away with it without double sided tape??? just incase i wonna take them off and get them sprayed?? or i need to take them off for some reason?

Cheers

It'll be easier to unscrew the splittters no? Double sided tape you have to pry it out, remove the residue, clean the area with alcohol so there is not oily residue then reattach them. Also double sided tape may degenerate with heat and moisture, you risk losing them on the move.

Just used 3 screws when I had a set of these on and they never moved a millimetre, no need to use tape, just tighten some self-tappers right up and job's a good un.

you will lose your splitters if you only use tape.
screw is a must.
nice and tight.
5 mins job.

You have got to use tight screws as a minimum!

I also use tape as it makes the leading edge where they join a lot tighter & looks better so they butt together as close as you can get.
But as Nick say's, tape is difficuilt to get off & re-clean if you need to remove.

So use screws first, then when you've finished colour coding, tape em to finish :D

STop messing around lol and get them sprayed up first. You know you are gonna do it eventually. Got mine sprayed first, used the tape (won't need to take them off again and as Mike has said gives a better, tighter fit), then used the three tapping screws underneath (no real need to drill, I just think Nick's got a fettish with drilling things [crackmeup ) and then jobs a good 'un.

Thats what i meant... could i just use the 3 screws and not the tape... cause i know the tapes gonna b a mission 2 get off...

Im almost certain that im not gonna get them sprayed.. as my theme is velvet blue and black...

The finish on the splitters is abit rough, so i might just get them smoothed up..

who says getting the tape off is a b!tch? It's a thin strip of 3m tape, nothing major. Just peel it off, it's like a foam tape which will just separate. Any residue, Auto Glym intensive tar remover will take it off.

Use the tape AND the screws, they're there for a reason

Get them sprayed mate - I look back at the pictures of my car with the standard Black unpainted splitters and cringe  Such a subtle little mod but transforms the front end IMO!

....and then do sticky and screwy! :D

Mahal, I hope this would make you change your mind about keeping the splitters black ;)
