View Full Version : Can't wait for SSDD-Motorsport to open shop
Hi All, just to share....
New to the forum, just purchased a 2006 330i M Sport Auto e90 Sparkling Graphite on new years eve (31 Dec 2011). Loving it.
Waiting for Teddy/SSDD-Motorsport to open up so that I can carry out the following jobs.
1. Upgrade Halogen headlights to Angel/xenon
2. Spoiler
3. Front splitters
4. Performance grills
And anything else Teddy recommends.
Cheers
I'm not sure when Teddy is back but he'll have you covered for all of these mods :) :) no problem
nb. Get some pics of the motor up and a proper introduction in main forum section when you have a chance :)
PS: I'd suggest a change of alloys get added to your list and also the darkline rear lights to match your plans for the front; dimisa exhaust tips and finally a performance or OE CF rear diffuser :)

yea teddy's the man for those things mate! congrats on your new toy :) i have the E92 coupe in sparkling graphite the colour is amazing!
another mod that looks amazing are the Carbon Fibre badges (bonnet, rear boot, steering wheel and wheel centre caps)
oh and welcome to the forum :)
Thanks for the welcome guys.
Quick question/opinion should I get a Carbon Fibre Spoiler or a painted one. Keep in mind nothing else on the car is CF.
Cheers

mate it just depends on how you want the mods to be, sparkling graphite and in m sport all the trim is gloss black so if you got parts painted in gloss black would look great!
my rear lip spoiler is colour coded but my grills i had painted gloss black to match the trim! depends on the "theme you want to go for!
if you do a CF spoiler your grills etc would be better if it matched! just something to think about :) its your design!
With CF it's a bit hit and miss personally... I don't like the CF splitters think they look a bit odd just stuck in the corners. However a full length spoiler at the back would look great. Plus you could match this up with the OE 1:1 diffuser to tie it in if you're worried :)
Hi Guys, Teddy will open up shop next Weds (18th Jan) :)
Another question (well more like a moan), why do all eBay sellers not know their products, I sent a few messages to different sellers requesting information on the types of bulb the halo/angel rings their BMW headlights are made of. Plus the seller can not provide additional pictures.
What I want is a stocking aftermarket headlight with bright halo ring made of either
1. Many LEDs in a circle
or
2. a transparent plastic with single bright LED
not sure which is better to use during the day and the headlights need projectors to use H7 bulbs and then upgrade to xenon later.
I seen every single unit being sold, from eBay to Mstyle, I still can not decide if anyone can provide an insight that would be appreciated before I head to Teddy.
Check out my findings and let me know your thoughts:

mate checked your links, so i am guessing you have an E90 saloon,
i would not bother going for a whole light cluster and spending £200+ i dont think it is worth it to be honest,
if you are looking for a LED bulb to make your angels look brighter then Teddy sells these
http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/info_D04MS020.html
i have them on my car and here are what mine look like...

Thanks for the came back, unfortunately its not as simple as I have Non-xenon and Non-Angel headlights. They are the halogen only. (The link you posted.. is that a site belong to Teddy, I thought Teddy was www.SSDD-Motorsport.com).

no that site is not to do with teddy but he sells the same bulbs if thats what you wanted! i know he has fitted angels to non-xenon lights, best just wait for him and see what he says mate
Hi all,
so Teddy have you opened yet, your feedback would be appreciated. Cheers
My view on your modding situation: You can either get depo angel eye style headlight units; Or alternatively order some used LCI halogens and then fit brighter bulbs to them. I did the latter :)

Morning chaps. Good to have to back Ted (thanks for your response)
I have good news, I bought a set of second hand BMW original xenon headlights with ballast and bulbs off eBay. I hope I can can simple plug and play them in, obviously I am sure I will need to code the car to xenon. I might do the install myself.
So any suggestions on upgrading AE bulbs for original headlights are most welcome.
Ted,
Ted might pop down to your garage this weekend if I get time. Plus over the past week I also bought a original BMW Performance spoiler from BMW directly. And getting my uncle's mate to install it this weekend at his garage.
