Hi guys

Alex here, Im sure that Roy will be along to also fill you in but heres my little bit from my perspective:

Car performed really really well, bar a few issues that I had with the belt snapping :rolleyes:

Got there early around 8am, some of the other cars there really made me think tice about wanting to race, RC develpoments turned up with there 900bhp EVO :eek: to say that it was quick would be an understatement, in the garage next to us was the Hartge 1 series with the E39 M5 engine, not to mention the numorus track prep'd Scobby and Elise's so I was thinking GREAT :rolleyes:

Did driver briefing with John and then out on to the track, bear in mind that this is still only the 8-9th time ive driven the M with blower fitted and the first time on the track so I was really nervous, Donny is a scary track cause the corners are blind and its also a quick track too, mainly all 3rd-4th gear corners, I followed Lee out and we put in a few laps, first impressions with the car was it was quick, very quick, this was proved when the test driver from Hartge went passed me and I decided very stupidly to try and chase him, we were pleasntly suprised by the fact that altough I was losing on the corners my car would catch him up on the straight no problem, also the people on the pits said that the M was as quick as ABT RS4 down the straight (thats 500bhp at the wheels)

Came back in and let the car cool down for a bit. Went back out later with Dan (customer whos M3 we just Supercharged) now a bit more confident we managed to take nearly 9 secs off my lap time 2 up, then fun and games came to an end, came out of a quick left and my belt snapped lost power steering and ABS. so pulled into the pits and had a ganders, we ended up having to drive to Eurocar parts in Nottingham to get a new belt, we left at 11am and didnt get back to Donny till 2pm :( so I missed the quater mile run, anyway fitted the new belt and tried to put in a few quick laps before the end of the day, everything just seemed to flow (you know its going to good) I was chasing Damon from Branded Untouchable (dont follow racing drivers) and ened up having a big slide through the S's at the top of the straight, this altough fun to people in the pits did nothing for my ring peice which was twitching like crazy. Got a few more good laps but snapped the belt again so had to call it a day. Weve now found that because my car has done nearly 70,000 miles the water pump pulley is slightly worn which is causing the belt to be out of alighment and thus causing it to snap, however we gave Dans car some abuse as well and he has none of the issue's I have so it is just down to my car, but whe your the first to try these things they happen. so Im gona be busy tommorow getting her fixed..

All in all it was a great dy and I had loads of fun, Lees car was excellent and it is very quick.. And looks superb going round the track as well.. Next year event will be one to watch.. [jam

Sorry for the essay. Im sure lee will explain it from his point of view as well and the boss has some photos which hes gona post along with some vide clips I think.

can I ask one thing whe you say a blower you mean supercharger right?

yes , blower refers to super or turbo charger compressor

Awesome day, big thanks to Roy and everyone else.

First of all though, props to Sarah for modelling for the organiser in the freezing cold all Day! took some doing.

To show how well the cars were running.

My best time 1.27.9s
Hartge 1 series 1.27.8s
Alex 1.27.4s

I think the times show just how well the cars were performing. My time got me 4th place in my group, beating off a host of modded skylines and only getting beat by the RC developments cars all 800bhp+.

Alex's car could have gone a lot quicker with more laps thats for sure.......................or just me driving.:) lol

Also the guys at branded untouchable were flying, showing the scoobies how to late brake properly. And im afraid the stoptechs ruled, i was out braking everybody and not one fault with them apart from all the blue smoke ha ha.

Yeah it will deffo go quicker. Toshow the difference. My car was hitting 130+ on the start finish straight and Alex was hitting 150+:eek:

Well i did come over and say hello to lee I think it was...
My car was over on the infield, just down from the BM3W.co.uk lads. They had a very nice brand new M5 with them that looked awesome and it must be the only time I have seen 3 CSL's all together!!!
