Driving home from a friends on friday night...Round-about....diesel....sideways and I had a one-one with a lampost :(

Looks alot worse than it actually is. But its mainly the front panel and everything attached to it that got crunched. The NS chassis leg has been pulled in by an inch.

Spent bout 45 mins at lunch yesterday stripping it all off.

The whole car was ready for paintnthis week too but hopefully it shoud be back on the road in a couple of weeks with new paint too:)

Ouch - always amazed (and glad) how BMW owners seem to get away safely from such nastly looking smashes. Thank heavens you are ok.

It's definitely repairable then? What did the insurance company say out of interest?

Did you try those numbers of breakers I gave you fella? Any success?

Its all good. I'm an apprentice in a bodyshop about 2 miles from my house. Easy enough to repair as everything bolts on and off (Big boys Meccano lol). I'm gonna pull the chassis leg straight 2morrow lunch...gonna have to heat it up to get a nice pull.

Can you believe the radiator is fine....was driving round my industrial estate 2day with no front end just to make sure the lump was all good.

Scorcher - not going through the insurance as i already got 8 points and i need my NCB for next year(clear 6 points) and I wasn't hanging around for the police to charge me for a new bloody lampost.

Glad to hear you are OK, could have been a lot worse, at least in the trade you can get it sorted @ a decent price with no insurance claim!
