hello mate is it one ring or both rings on the same side? if both rings it'd be the inverter box. if one ring try swapping the plugs around to determine if its the ring or the inverter mate

Well the fuse had gone on the invertor so replaced that and the inverter started to smoke and the fuse blew, so definatly a fault with the inverter. Can you pm paypal details and ill send money to you mate.
IMHO (Someone feel free to correct me.. )You should probably replace the pair mate as if the inverter is even slightly different then it could affect the lights. At best it could just be that one side warms up faster but at worst you could have different brightness levels too..

I try to let people know if your kit is over 2 years old its worth investing slightly more and get a whole new kit and get another 12 month warranty as the whole new kit isnt that more expensive than buying 2 new inverters.

Get a neon kit inverter. It will work. Try BnQ or something

yes neon inverter works on some brand kits I have seen, but it will throw up error code on the dash unless you leave the sidelight bulb in. besides, neon tube inverter only works with the old type angel eyes as far as I am aware, and the plugs are perhaps different you need to start chopping and joining! might as well buy a new proper branded one and get another 12 month warranty :)

Mega your bang on with replacing the pair, I repaced one and they light up at different times now. No difference in brightness mind. Will have to order another sometime.
Glad the output is the same anyway so no worries once your running anyway..

Guess its luck as I bought a replacement invertor off teddy when one side didn't work and I have no lighting issues at all. Light up the same, and same brightness touch wood.

if you get it from me, should be fine lol :D
the colour of the rings might change after years of use, just like any fluorescent lights.
