Wow! £2500 is top end wheel money. With tyres it'll exceed £3000. They are lovely wheels but Vorsteiner is competing in the league of wheel gems like HRE and DPE.

I will gladly admit I am not yet fully conversant with in depth comparative prices/ specs on wheels , it is a relatively new field for me [read
so tell me please , what other wheels compare in price , TAKING INTO ACCOUNT the very lightweight nature and build specs of Vorsteiner ?
As always thanks for all the help Nick

Roy, as Nick's already mentioned, the price of those puts them into the prestige league. Are they worth it? Only time will tell.
Other wheels in the price range are HRE and DPE, but in my personal opinion, they're "fashion" wheels, they're very lightweight wheels in their own right, forged aluminium, 3 piece etc but not exactly race bred. Volks are again, in that price range, but pure race bred, from alumiunium to magnesium alloys.
What's vorsteiner's heritage? If it's bodykits and the like, then it's competing directly with HRE / DPE, even iForged, if it's race bred, it's competing directly with Volks at that price point. However, if a REAL driver who really is concerned with weight / racing heritage, they'll go BBS every time which is £1 - £1.5k cheaper which is a HUGE margin

In my experience, if one pays more than £500 for a rim, the buyer tend to go for not just the quality but also the brand name. People who goes for purely the style they like will always find a cheaper alternative. People who goes for performance tend to stick to 2 brands, BBS and Volk.
It's just my honest opinion, for that price range, the product must have the badge to go with it, quality and style alone may not be enticing enough (after all, at the price range one can argue that quality is already assured).
In terms of weight, I don't think the majority of wheel buyers have it as their strict requirement. You may find 20% of them who stresses on having the lightest wheels but 80% would rather them look nice. Hence, very little go for 17"/18" and tends to drool in front of 19"/20".
To give an example, my BBS LM weighs 11kg for the rear 19X10. The wheels are 3 piece and the centre is forged. They are some of the strongest wheels and most appeasing. They also have the badge and the pedigree, and represnet the very best of the road going range. They cost £540 each.
Hamann PG3 and ACS Type 3 Racing again are 'designer' wheels, very strong and looks great. They cost the same. HREs are creme de la creme of wheels. Custom forged and looks the best when it comes to subtle bling. They are publicised virtually on every website and forum as the pinnacle of aftermarket wheels. People know the name before they could recognize the wheel. They cost $750 each.
Not saying Vorsteiner is not good, it's a good company that makes high quality goods. But it's at it's infancy still in the eyes of purchasers, ie hasn't established itself as a bona-fide wheel maker. I haven't seen a car with those wheels on. They are great looking wheels but I think they should invest more in establishing their very own 'pedigree' before competing with the established. And one way is to bring the cost down to get the product out, to put them in a league that is more reachable for more buyers, and let them build the reputation.
Just my 2 cents.

BBS LM's only cost that much if you get ripped off.
