Due to the rising fuel costs, the same guys who undertook a fuel depot blockage are threatening to do it again, this time from Sept 14th

Wondering when something like this was going to happen, I paid £1.01 per litre for Optimax yesterday.

yep, its suks.. i remember when i started driving.. and it was 56p a litre.. petrol prices have risen 4p odd since then.. but tax 30p!! every £1 fuel is 75p ish of tax!!! were getting raped by the brit gov :(:( this was bound to happen sooner or later. better go get a oil tanker to keep the ///M running for a few days :(:(
I think its time to stock up some fuel in our garages!
Its a joke... went to fill up the other day and they couldn't even fit the price of Optimax on the price board...
100.9p.
What a joke.

bad news aswell is that LPG is gonna be taxed next year aswell!!! was thinkin of converting last year then discovered i was gonna be wasteing my time [bang
This is getting ridiculous now. The government really need to sort it out. The amount of tax on petrol is obscene. It cost me £50 for my last fill up of standard unleaded.

Not bl00dy likely :D :D
The shell garage on the way into Uxbridge is still less than a quid and like I say, Tesco 99Ron is cheaper especially if you have a 5p off per litre voucher!!!

2 Petrol stations by mine have sold out of unleaded and one other is queued up with traffic
Better go and fill up seeing as I go through a tank every 4 days...
Cheers
Daniel
Your right danch, queues are ridiculous. All the petrol stations round here are queued up onto the roads. The way I look at it, if I can't fill up I can't go to work and i have more time to spend on the net finding mods for the car :D :D :D
my cousin just phoned me telling me theres going to be a strike for a few days starting wednesday!

had to go to my dealer this evening to return some parts. The dealer has a BP garage right outside, was fortunate enough to drive onto a pump, topped up and then handled business at the dealer. Literally 20 minutes later, came out, a sizeable queue had developed! It's amazing what brings this country to a standstill

But then you earn that little more to compensate for a day off lol. You know it makes sense mate. Any excuse for modding ;)

The problem is that it will not make any real difference either to the petrol companies or the government. The government are not gonna give up even a small amount of the revenue that is generated from petrol. And the petrol companies will still have earned the same revenue over the first couple of days of the week instead of over the entire week with everyone panic buying.
Absolute madness!!
was in a black cab @2am last night on the way back from work and there queues at petrol stations!!!!
got a full tank to last till the weekend at least!

one good thing.....all that was left was OPTIMAX....it took me five minutes to convince one young asain gal that OPTIMAX is not diesel....
Fights breakin out....cussin....madness!
yea i filled up at the tesco esso one down edware road about 1:45 am last night and had to que for a good half hour. People were cussin and fighting left right and center! I got an absolutely full tank :D Lots of 5th gear driving will easily get me through the week :)

:( I've been trying to save mine that I put in last night, and still the OBC is saying that I am only doing 20mpg. Damm my driving style, why don't I drive like a granny!!! ;) ;)
danch
13-09-2005, 02:14 PM
I am doing motorway driving so I am getting 29 - 30 mpg :p on the OBC at the moment, if I drive like a granny I can squeeze 33mpg out of it.
I have got to find a petrol station tonight to top up just to make sure I last till the weekend
Cheers
Daniel
