The price is for E46 coupe, which includes all windows except the front windscreen. For 4 door models such as E46 saloon and 5 series, add 25 as there are few more windows to do.

I suppose the date/time could be arranged to suit most people, and I suppose the tinter even works to his full ability can maximum do 5 cars a day so we can also split the group into 2 and make 2 dates to suit most. the odd one can always go get his done separately I suppose.

Wow that is very cheap. I was originally quoted much more and then the same guy Teddy is using said £125 cause i told him we had 5 here already and he said he will do mine Saturday, but now we are on 9 so need 1 more and then we will have the magical 10 people to get it for £110. Question is do i keep my work and go get it done for £125 or say No cause we have 10 and insist on paying £110 :confused:

Sorry guys i dont mean to sound like an asshole, but i got my tints done by these guys on my e46. To be honest i had them redone by them like four times. I had to keep going to topgear in hayes on saturdays, where they were doing other cars they would re do my window or something.

To be honest i never have taken it up with teddy as i just got sick and tired of getting my windows re done i wrote off the money as they wouldnt refund my money and just carried on redoing my tints but always peeled so i just couldnt be fucked no more and got my windows redone at a very respected window tinter.

Like i said i have no hard feelings about it you live and learn but to be honest no way in hell would i ever let these guys tint another car for me and to be honest teddy with all respect they cant get the dot matrix spot on.

I would rather pay the £300 or so it costs to tint a bmw with a hard top and go somewhere else

Sorry to hear that bro, but he tinted Kav's old car and you know how fussy he is and he was happy. Infact it was him who gave me the original number. I guess we are all free to make our own drcision, but for me for the price it's worth the risk and if they fcuk it up i will just call some of my cousins and they would be invited round for Sunday dinnet, only they will be on the menu ;)

he's not with his old partner anymore, who probably did your car Moe. anyway he's done more than 80 cars for us in 2 years, inc peppernick, durges, mark, Kav, and all the old evot crews and have had no problems at all.

all feedbacks welcome though.

I have explained it to people that it is NOT 100% possible to tint the dot matrix glass and have a perfectly smooth finish due to the nature of the film and glass bonding, but I am saying that he's the one of the few guys that will use a special tool and take time to make the film stick and get a much better result than the rest.

Is there anything special we need to do to the windows in prep?

As you can imagine they have a lot of condensation at the moment.

IE will they do a full clean and prep before hand or do we need to get them to a minimum standard?

Mark & i had ours done today! After an initial delay waiting for the tints we got cracking and Marks car got done 1st then mine after. First off apologies for the uncleanliness of the car. The plan was to have it washed beforehand by Rainbow, but the sudden appearance of the sun on Sunday meant he was busier than I expected.

In the end this was done over two days.

On Sunday the the rear and back windows were done, but because the front windows were very tight I had to come back on Monday (we had run out of daylight) so we could remove the rubber to enable the tint to go on with out tearing.

On newer cars this should not be an issue, but a 13 year old car will always throw up some hurdles.



So far looks good but waiting to see it properly in daylight with the tints fully 'cured', take a few days normally but in winter may take a week or more.

Unless we can find a heated garage or something then it's a waste of time at the mo i think. They use to actually take your windows out and put them in a oven so you can imagine how hard it must be for the tints to dry out in this cold now. Kav wayed to rip mine off yesterday lol. Funny cause it looks ok when it's mild, then as soon as weather changes the bubbles come back and the edges come off :(

Just spoke to Nick and he said the weather is fine to tint now so i'm going back Saturday to get mine done. No one else seems to have that problem so it must just be my car so if you guys wana still go ahead then please do so :)

guys, I didnt think I'd ever need to say this on Evotechnik forum but PLEASE ONLY PUT YOUR NAME DOWN if you are 100% certain you are in with ANY GROUP BUY. I have seen many horrid stories on other forums but never on EVOT. Had a chat with Nick and we just couldnt believe it.

We had agreed the price for doing 10 cars with the tinter, so he offered the discount. So far only 4 cars have been done and paid and 3 people have pulled out and the rest have made no contact or confirm date/time.

It is very unfair for the tinter to offer this kind of discounted price then to find out people dropping out of group buy, and obviously we cannot ask the ones who have done it to fork out extra because of the reduced number.

Sorry about the rant, just didnt think I ever needed to say this on Evot...

Just had someone mention the curvature of Golf MKV rear window may produce slight white line down one side of the window, think similar to the e46 dot matrix issue,
