M3 rear view mirror on ci?

Hi there,

This may sound like a stupid question, but does anyone know whether an E46 M3 rear view mirror would fit onto an E46 318ci? As someone at a BMW breakers told me that it would. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

should do ar u should be able to 'make it fit'. dunno if the auto dim would work though unless it was all wired up. see if the little bracket on the windscreen is the same.

I had it done on my car when I got a new windscreen and had the Auto Dim loom installed, a mate at the Dealers fitted it for me the loom has to go along the top of the windscreen and down the passengers pillar to the fuse box

I have a sept 04 E46 ci, and the mirror will be coming out of a 01 E46 M3, will this still fit into my car? And where do i get the loom from?

No reason why it won't fit the loom part no is 51 16 0 001 231 this is the part no I got and my car is a 01 Coupe so I don't see much difference your stealer might be better to confirm this

Just put a m3 interior mirror in my 330i saloon, went stright on, bit tricky to put it back on but once figured out its actually really simple.
