After just under a years ownership of a Mk4 Golf R32 I'm back in a BM for my daily drive. I was considering getting another X5 following the return of our booked trip to the Ring this coming thursday but somehow ended up buying a Z4M Coupe last tuesday:eek: it was a bit of an impulse buy but I've been admiring them for a while and thought fcuk it! Why not! :D

it's a 56 plate Silver/Grey with Red leather and I'm loving it, I drove another one locally prior to this and when I got back into the 32 I actually thought there was something wrong with my brakes and steering! not that there was it was just night and day difference, and the R32 is a fantastic car and I was really looking forward to getting it round the ring, but now I can't wait to get the Z4 round!

I've yet to put it through it's paces on my chosen road but I think this car will be capable of out driving me rather than the other way round, I'm certainly looking forward to it.

it's just had it's Inspection 1 service along with the brake fluid change from BMW in Aberdeen, what is the brake fluid used by the dealerships in the M series?
Just wondering if I need to upgrade it to Dot5 or SRF for the trip??

NIce one mate get some pics up

I would suggest SRF brake fluid, if you want the best possible brakes without going down the bbk route go for some braided lines and performance friction pads all round

STD brakes and fluid will be fine unless your a fanny and hard on them at every corner or have the DSC On.

cheers for the comments, almost all set for this trip, set up my bullet cam on saturday but now the fecking monitor is playing up and not switching on. going to give them a phone tomorrow as it's brand new.

i got one of these - http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/minidvr-h720-bullet-camera-system.html
we did a GB of 5 of them with a couple of folk from work, so if they can't get a replacement in time then I might have to pinch my bosses!

anyone else got this cam and had any issues?

Can I just start off by saying what lush green turf you have.....I'm well jealous. Do you weed and feed it?

Anyhow, car looks fantastic and I'm sure you'll have a wicked time at the 'ring.

ha ha ha ha that's the first time i've ever had a comment about my lawn from pics of my car! I'm not much of a gardener but I have been giving it a bit of feed after each cut of late, and being in Scotland that is normally followed closely by a good bought of RAIN! Lol

Don't I know...I stay in it lol. Only recently have I taken an active interest in gardening since I let the gardener go. Tough economic times...got to save the pennies.

Anyhoo...your car is gallus and is a pocket rocket!! What mods you got planned then?

Huge congrats. If I could get away with a 2 seater this would be at the top of the list. Loved the 3.0si I had for the day as a demo.

Be careful at the Ring.

m3tiko - yes I too had to let the gardener go due to the economic times Lol although I did have him do the bulk of the work in the garden leading up to this so it was a very manageble (easy) maintenance garden... basically it's a blank canvas for any green finger but for me, it's simply cutting the grass and the rest takes care of itself! Lol

no mods planned as such just yet, I did enquire about a set of CSL's but it's fairly new boots on so once they are past their best i'll probably look at getting a set of them. It does have an additional front strut brace already fitted, but other than that it's std.

cheers Raj, I took it upon myself to jump at this following getting the g/f a TT after her saying this is HER time to get a little sports car, so I figured this too was MY time to get a pretty unpractical car! :D
have been refreshing my memory of the track with my previous vids and a nice selection from youtube.

Loving this clip, the boy has some very good lines - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXCs_qNiAro

so thats the track insurance all sorted, and only one more day of work!
